Neuronal Network Models for Tinnitus and Its Management by Sound Therapy

(in English) We have proposed a computational model with plasticity using simplified Hodgkin-Huxley model neurons in order to investigate the mechanism of tinnitus generation and the clinical effects of the sound therapy from the viewpoint of neural engineering. We compared the simulation results of the model that composed of three neurons and contains inhibitory feedback with the model that is composed of two neurons and contains no inhibitory feedback. In the present paper, it is shown that the model with inhibitory feedback is more appropriate to account for the process of the management of sound therapy.
