We propose a new noninvasive, quantitative and objective method of assessing vascular access (VA) function based on time-frequency analysis of wavelet transform that can be conveniently performed at each hemodialysis treatment. The present article attempted to quantify chronological changes in shunt murmur associated with recurrent stenosis by calculating a normal cross-correlation coefficient R. We also attempted to clarify the characteristic sounds associated with swallowing by capturing swallowing sounds using an acceleration sensor and performing a time-frequency analysis of swallowing sound signals based on wavelet transform. |
