Long-Life Supported Low Power Radio Communication Network besed on IEEE802.15.4MAC

(in English) This paper proposes long-life supported low power radio communication network for automatic meter reading radio system for gas, electricity and water. The proposed system realizes data relay and routing to the collection station by conducting effective tree topology construction and low power consumption multi-hop communications with intermittent sleeping periods both of which are based on the IEEE802.15.4MAC standard. Outdoor experiments on propagation characteristics and data transmission performances using prototype terminals and investigation using computer simulation confirm that the proposed system can realize a service area size of several hundred meters with 3 hop transmision when one hop provides almost 150m transmission range.
