PLC system based on Automatic Transmission-mode Selection

(in English) Although the conventional PLC(Power Line Communication) modems use only the differential-mode transmission, the authors has proposed the dual-mode transmission that uses the better transmission mode selected from the differential and common modes to increase the channel capacity.
However, the mode selection was done manually, so that the adaptive mode control could not be achieved even when the channel condition changed.
In this paper, an automatic mode-selection method based on a throughput measurement is proposed. And its evaluation result is also shown.
