Extension of Channel Selection Scheme for Single-hop Networks to Cooperative Relaying Networks

(in English) The multichannel asynchronous distributed pricing (MADP) algorithm is a channel selection and transmit power control scheme which enhances the network throughput of single-hop networks. However, this algorithm can lead to a large difference in throughput among communication links, since more resources are allocated to links with good quality. Especially in relaying networks, this algorithm might not achieve high network throughput because the link with the lowest throughput limits the end-to-end throughput of a given route. The application of this algorithm to non-cooperative multi-hop relaying networks has been considered. In the present paper, the application of this algorithm to cooperative relaying networks is also considered. In order to enhance the network throughput in cooperative relaying networks, a modification of the MADP algorithm, called the spatial diversity aware MADP (SDA-MADP) algorithm is proposed. Simulation results reveal that the introduction of the proposed algorithm achieves high network throughput in cooperative relaying networks compared to that in single-hop networks or non-cooperative multi-hop relaying networks.
