Trained dogs, metal detectors and X-ray inspection apparatus are mainly used to detect explosives.However, these methods are sometimes difficult to apply for a situation, because they have some disadvantage. In this study, we used antigen-antibody interaction and surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor to detect 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) molecules with displacement immunoassay and investigated which hapten provided higher sensitivity. As a result, 0.9 ppb of detection limit was achieved using DNP-glycine immobilized Au sensor surface via self-assembled monolayers containing ethylene glycol units. |
