Numerical analyses of Electromagnetic wave propagation in wave guides are carried out by FETD method. This method uses Galerkin's method to discretize Maxwell's equations in the expanded scalar form directly in the spatial domain and derives finite element equations as first-order ordinary differential equations in the time domain. As numerical examples, we calculate $TE_{10}$wave excitation in a waveguide, the standing wave excitation in a wave guide with a dielectric plate, TE wave propagation in the wave guide with a dielectric rectangular post and wave excitation in a circular cavity are calculated. |
