An optical comb generator based on an optical modulator can be operate with high-stable and high-flexibility. In this paper, we report on generation of an ultrashort pulse with a high peak power using chirped pulse amplification (CPA) system. An ultrashort pulse train, which was generated by a Mach-Zehnder-modulator-based flat comb generator and a dispersion-flattened dispersion-decreasing fiber, was amplified by an all-fiber CPA system. The CPA was constructed by a highly-doped Er-doped fiber. After the CPA system, a 198 fs-width pulse train was generated, where the peak power was estimated to be in the order of 800 W. |
