We propose a multi-carrier transmission with constant envelope modulation
for 60GHz-band and over 2Gbit/s high speed wireless system. Modulating method for subcarrier is minimum shift keying (MSK) with zero
peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). All subcarriers are amplified individually to envelope of input signal of power amplifier constant. To reduce overall radio frequency (RF) bandwidth, subcarriers are orthogonal-frequency allocated. In the case of 4 subcarriers, we can get 250Msymbol/s subcarrier symbol rate, 375MHz baseband bandwidth and 2250MHz RF bandwidth, for the proposed 2Gbit/s system. The spectral efficiency is 0.89bit/s/Hz. We evaluated bit error rate (BER) performance of the proposed system using computer simulation. The degradation of BER was negligibly small. |
