Evaluation of Channel Capacity in MIMO Terminal Antenna Considering Decoupling and Matching network

(in English) In this paper, the channel capacity of MIMO terminal station is evaluated, in order to clarify the effect of the antenna size, common groud for array antenna and degradiation on channel capacity due to dielectric effect considering human hand. When 4$\times$4 MIMO transmission is assumed, we found that the degradiation on channel capacity due to the minitualization of array is not observed, even if the array width is reduced to 30mm. Although the SNR is lowered by the common ground for array antenna, the spatial correlation does not change between dipole and monopole arrays. Concerning the human hand, the degradation on channel capacity is observed, when the distance between the dielectric and array antenna is less than 20mm. Moreover, we clarified the decoupling and matching network (DMN) is effective for improving the channel capacity, because the DMN can reduce mutual coupling between antennas.
