Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recently, the technology of wireless power transmission attracts attention, and the researches are actively
carried on which aim at its applications in various fields such as cellular phones and electric vehicles. As one
technology, the method of using the induced magnetic field of the loop antenna (coil) is examined. This research
topic includes the clarification of the relation between the characteristics of the antennas used and the optimum
transmission distance. In this report, the distance characteristics of the transmission efficiency between two proximity
coils are analyzed by using electromagnetic numerical analysis software (FEKO), and the optimum transmission
distances for several kinds of coils with different number of turns are calculated. Moreover, the cause of decrease
in transmission efficiency is clarified through the analysis of frequency characteristics. In addition, the equivalent
circuit of two-coil transmission system is constructed for understanding the wireless power transmission mechanism
and also for investigating the possibility of a simple design of the system. As a result, it is confirmed that the
transmission efficiency characteristics of the equivalent circuit are in fairly good agreement with those obtained by
FEKO.
