| (in English) | In MIMO transmission, it is possible to communicate efficiently by beneficial use of radiation pattern and polarization. We have verified these effects by analysis and measurement, and conducted indoor measurements for the proposed MIMO antenna. In this report, we use dual-polarized directional MIMO antenna as indoor base station, and examine empirically about antenna selection of two elements from four. We show that minimum BER is obtained by the selection of maximizing minimum eigenvalue (2nd eigenvalue). We also reveal that maximum channel capacity is achieved in 8 of 11 receiving positions by this selection scheme, and improvement factor is 20.8% compared with expectation in the case of random antenna selection. Moreover, we reveal that nearly maximum channel capacity is achieved in all positions by considering the product of the 1st and 2nd eigenvalues. | |
