(in English) Burrows--Wheeler transformation is a useful transformation that is used as a preprocessing for data compression, and block sorting is one basic step of the transformation. We study on the patterns that arise as patterns of inputs for block sorting. We show an algorithm that gives a set of logical formulas that characterizes the condition ``a string of letters has the pattern'' for each input pattern, and also rules that simplify such logical formulas.
