Noninvasive visualization methods of brain electrical activity are expected to analyze functional brain signal processing and to identify the position of epilepsy. A novel estimation method based on dipole layer imaging and independent component analysis (ICA) was proposed to estimate equivalent dipole sources from electroencephalogram. Equivalent cortical dipole layer distribution accounted for scalp potential was estimated using the dipole layer imaging. Dipole layer distribution was separated by ICA to identify the number, the position, and the moment of dipole sources. In the present study, we expanded it to time-varying dipole layer imaging in order to improve the accuracy. In the simulation, we evaluated the accuracy of the proposed estimation method. |
