(in English) International conferences give us an important chance to know brand-new results and research trends in the fields concerned. This paper summarizes reports of international conferences by participants to introduce recent outputs and research trends in CARS 2009 and CAOS 2009, especially for researchers who did not attend them. CARS2009 was held at Berlin of Germany in 23rd to 27th on June in 2009, whose topics involve CAD-PACS and Surgical PACS as well as conventional ones; CAD, CAS, PACS etc.. CAOS2009 was held at Boston of United States in 17th to 20th on June, just one week before CARS2009, and there were many presentations on computer assisted orthopaedic surgery. Research trend of CAOS is and will be focusing on how statistical atlases can improve orthopaedic surgery. Authors hope this paper helps your research life.
