In this paper we describe a result of world first transmission
experimentation.
The total solar eclipse of July 22 2009 was visible across south--east
Asia and the western Pacific.
We transfered this super high--definition image movie data for the
eclipse from Asahi Broadcasting Corporation(ABC) to Nara Institute of Science
and Technology(NAIST) with 4K uncompressed and then successed a live
transmittion experimentation.
So the amount of network bandwidth reached 8 Gbps due to this 4K data
with uncompressed HD data simulaneously.
Without being sacrificed normal traffic of our instiute, we successed
the experimentation, however the amount of our primary network is 10
Gbps. |
