Load-aware Dynamic Counter-based Flooding over Ad Hoc Networks

(in English) In ad hoc networks, the flooding is used to deliver messages to the whole network. However, the excessive use of the flooding generates heavy traffic load on the network. To solve this problem, many schemes have been proposed. In this paper, we focus on our proposal named the Load-aware Dynamic Counter-based Flooding (LDCF) in which the rebroadcast criterion (whether the node rebroadcast a message or not) is determined dynamically based on the MAC transmission queue information. And we show a performance evaluation through a network simulation. The result shows that our proposal can ensure both high message reachability and reduction of redundant rebroadcast.
