Research and Development of a Power-Variable Phase-Controlled Magnetron

(in English) An oven magnetron, which is a highly-efficient low-cost microwave oscillator, has poor frequency and phase stabilities. We have developed phase-controlled magnetrons (PCM) for stabilizing the frequency and phase of the oven magnetron. However, the developed PCMs didn’t have an output power control system, or complicated feedback loops are necessary to control the output power of the PCMs. In the present study, research and development of a power-variable PCM, whose output power is easily variable under the phase-locked condition, is described.
