In a previous paper[1], a control system for bone-conducted speech with an earplug type transducer was proposed. In this system, when a sound pressure level (SPL) near the eardrum was controlled minimal SPL using the earplug-type transducer,it is not clear how loud the sound is at the inner ears. Therefore,instead of bone-conducted speech, bone-conducted pure tones were used which was generated by adding sine wave vibration to the chin. The SPL of a miniature microphone near the eardrum was minimized by regenerating anti-phase sine wave to the eardrum. From the results in frequency of 100-500Hz, the SPL near the eardrum was attenuated more than 10dB and less than 35dB. From the results of loudness perception,it can be found that the perception of loudness at the inner ear is smaller than the controlled sound pressure near the eardrum. |
