Organic white light-emitting diodes using red fluorescent and blue phosphorescent materials as emissive layers were fabricated and investigated. The maximum luminance of 16000 cd/m2 was obtained in this device. Response properties of white emission, blue phosphorescence and red fluorescence which were included in white emission were measured by applying pulsed voltages. Rise time in white emission was a few ten $\mu$s at low voltage region. At high voltage region, it was about 1$\mu$s. On the other hand, decay time was approximately 1$\mu$s. Response properties of white emission were almost identical to response properties of blue phosphorescence. Next, in order to investigate blue phosphorescence and red fluorescence, blue phosphorescent and red fluorescent devices were fabricated and measured response properties. For a blue phosphorescent device, rise time was affected by RC constant and phosphorescent recombination time at low and high voltage region, respectively. For a red fluorescent device, rise time and decay time were controlled by RC constant. |
