We have fabricated a high extinction ratio (50 dB) LiNbO3 MZ modulator with active Y-branch which characteristics are equal to a DPMZ type one. Then, we realized a Double-sideband suppressed carrier modulation where a carrier spectral was 28 dB suppressed using Z-cut/Dual drive optical modulator. Finally, we discussed about high extinction ratio LiNbO3 DPMZ modulator with active Y-branch, for suppressed undesired sideband components in optical Single-Side-Band modulation and more precise IQ mapping in QAM. |
