Issues of the HRTF measurement via reciprocal method

(in English) In order to build a fast HRTF measuring system, we have reexamined the HRTF measurement via reciprocity. It is confirmed that reciprocally and directly measured HRTFs agree well in midrange frequency band (0.4 - 14 kHz). As the earplug speakers generate low output sound pressure and have directivity, the HRTFs are not measured well in low and high frequency bands. The issues cannot be solved by boosting the input voltage to the speaker, increasing the number of averaging and using a Warped-TSP. However the reciprocal method can measure only midrange HRTF, the method is useful because HRTFs for multi location can be measured at a time. In addition, wider band HRTFs can be measured in the sound field near the head, because the closer to head the higher the sound pressure level with the earplug speaker.
