Submillimeter Wave Propagation Characteristics of a Coupled Image Line Loaded on a Solid-State Plasma Material Slab

(in English) The propagation characteristics of 526 GHz submillimeter-wave coupled image guide situated on a solid-state plasma slab were investigated by simulation using the finite-difference time-domain(FDTD) method, and the results were compared with those of the experiments employing n-InSb as the plasma material. Coupling characteristics can be widely controlled by applying a magnetic field to the plasma material. It indicates the possibility of constructing submillimeter-wave devices in the future such as variable couplers using the above-mentioned structure.
