Matrix factorization approaches to Projective reconstruction (2) -- Performance comparison: CBC method vs. factorization based on the subspace constraints --

(in English) In this paper we perform a comparative study of two projective
reconstruction algorithms:
the CBC method proposed in our previous work
and a projective factorization based on the subspace iteration.
To do this, we extend the subspace method for dealing with missing
data, by combining iterative factorization method introducing some
complexity reduction technique.
The resulting subspace method alternately estimates the projective depth
and the matrix factors using iterative method.
Experiments carried out on both synthetic and real data clearly show
that, compared to the extended subspace method,
the CBC method which requires no iterative procedure efficiently produces
reconstruction results with practical quality for visual reconstruction.
