Retransmission Method with Network Coding based on Reordering Delay in Wireless LAN

(in English) Recently, Network Coding (NC) has been popularly applied to wireless networks to improve channel utilization. In wireless LAN, when NC is applied to packet retransmission, a sender station can simultaneously retransmit multiple packets per retransmission trial. On the other hand, at a receiver side, out-of-order packet receipt can occur, and the reordering process is required. However, existing NC retransmission methods do not consider this reordering delay, hence packet transfer delay may increase seriously. Therefore, in this paper, we propose NC retransmission method considering packet reordering delay to decrease packet transfer delay. Moreover, we show the effectiveness of the proposed method by computer simulation.
