A Greedy Routing with Direction Information in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

(in English) Recently, in mobile ad hoc networks, routing protocols with location information have been proposed. Most of these protocols cope with the Local Minimum(LM) problem after they encountered LM problem. However, this passive correspondence about LM problem leads the performance of the packet delivery ratio and energy consumption to decrease. To cope with this problem, we propose a new greedy routing protocol, which intends to avoid LM problem in advance by considering direction information of the destination node and neighboring nodes in addition to the location and velocity information. It is shown by computer simulation that proposal achieves high packet delivery ratio and low energy consumption by avoiding LM problem with using direction information.
