An improvement of Target Contents Holder Discovery Method using GPS over MANET

(in English) There have been many researches on Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) that is infrastructureless wireless network. It is difficult to administer information by center servers in such situation as disaster. There have been few studies to discover information holders which have target information (which a user wish to get) and get its IP address and its information. In this paper, we assume that every node has Global Positioning System (GPS), and we propose an effective method of target information holder discovery enabling packets transmission reduction consumption. And we show the performance evaluation through the network simulation. The result shows that our proposal achieves effective discovery compared with conventional discovery method using flooding.
