Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper describes a method of implementing 3rd order-RadauIIA and 4th order-LobattoIIIA of im-
plicit Runge-Kutta formulas into circuit simulators for nonlinear circuits as numerical integration. In IRK methods,
the size of equivalent circuit becomes larger than the numerical integration in conventional circuit simulators, be-
cause the equivalent circuit at an intermediate time between past and present time are needed in addition to the
equivalent circuit at present time. Furthermore, computational costs for the implicit Runge-Kutta methods a longer
than the trapezoidal because solution at present and intermediate time are necessary in nonlinear evaluation. This problem is solved by using larger time step for numerical integration compared to conventional methods to save calculation time, since Radau-s2 and Lobatto-s3 of IRK formulas have high orders. In this paper, we compared computational costs of the circuit includes nonlinear elements. As a result, we show that the calculations of the nonlinear elements increase in large scale circuit. Therefore, we show that inplicit Runge-kutta methods are suitable for a small scale circuit demanded the accuracy.
