Study on Cyclically Permutable Property on Error Correcting Codes

(in English) Channels were de-synchronization between encoder and decoder occurs due to insertion or deletion errors are considered. An example of such channels are digital watermarking in video or audio under the presence of clipping attack. Some solution video watermarking using cyclically permutable code (CPC) has been proposed by Kuribayashi et al., also our group has proposed a self-synchronous decoding for audio watermarking. In this paper, the synchronization problem for digital watermarking is approach with error correcting codes. Particularly, the characteristics of CPC codes generated by cyclic codes are analyzed from the point of view of synchronization problem. Finally, we show how different kind if codes, CPC and non-CPC, can be used for synchronization.
