A Lossless Data Hiding Method without Memorization of Hiding Parameter and Its Application to Image and Sound

(in English) This paper proposes a lossless data hiding method that is a parameter free method. For the hidden data extraction in the conventional reversible methods that are free from memorization of location map indicating watermarked positions, an image dependent parameter should be memorized or the hidden data payload size should be fixed. The proposed method sorts blocks based on the block level statistics before data hiding, and this feature makes the proposed method free from not only memorizing a parameter but also using a parameter. The proposed method also embeds the payload size as well as the payload itself, so the proposed method is capable of hiding various sized payload. The proposed method is applied to sound signals as well as image signals in this paper.
