Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) NerveNet is a new generation mobile access network that is expected to transport various kinds of dynamically changing information about a locality and/or persons gathered from sensors to different destination servers in a secure manner in order to provide personalized context-aware services. An example of promising applications NerveNet can provide is the interactive advertisement. NerveNet provides advertisers with a platform to send right advertisement at a right timing to a group of users who share the same context such as preferences and location. The advertising stores can analyze the effect of the advertisement quantitatively by performing real-time monitoring of the number of customers who have visited the store after having received the advertisement and the number of customers who have purchased sales items after having visited the store. The stores can accordingly adapt the content and the advertising timing of the advertisement to make the advertisement more effective. We demonstrate such advertisement and environment monitoring application on a small-scale NerveNet to illustrate the basic functions of NerveNet as well as the concept of interactive advertisement.
