Performance Evaluation of the Proposed CSI Compression Scheme with Channel Estimation Error and Feedback Delay

(in English) This report presents the evaluation results of the Channel State Information (CSI) compression scheme proposed by the authors under the conditions of channel estimation error and feedback delay for MIMO-OFDM systems. The proposed CSI compression scheme transforms a set of CSI by Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), and then only the frequency domain whose power is large is fed back from a receiver to a transmitter. The evaluation results show that the proposed CSI compression scheme effectively improves the capacity with the channel estimation error and the feedback delay. When there are the feedback delay of 10 ms and the variance of channel estimation error by 0.1, the degradation of the capacity of the CSI compression scheme from that of perfect CSI is 0.1 bit/sec/Hz, though that of periodic CSI regarded as a conventional scheme from that of perfect CSI is 0.9 bit/sec/Hz.
