Application of the in-phase synthetic method has been proposed to make radiated power measurement of small radio transmitters possible even in an semi-anechoic chamber or an office room. To realize a measurement system, a log-periodic dipole antenna is newly developed to yield a high front-to-back ratio as a measuring antenna in the frequency range from 2 to 5 GHz. In addition, a commercially-available vector signal analyzer applicable for the frequency range up to 2.7 GHz is improved so that it can accurately measure the amplitudes and phase of two signals up to 5 GHz. |
