Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The sensor network terminals are installed in the field a lot and transmit data regularly by radio. A condition demanded from these is miniaturization and power-saving that each machinery can work by a battery for several years. In this research, we propose the terminal constitution that omitted a receiver circuit as a method to satisfy these two condition. Because there is not a receiver circuit, the miniaturization of the circuit can be realized. In addition, power-saving is enabled because consumption electricity to need for the receiving does not occur. But, the terminal cannot perform the carrier detection and receive acknowledgement, because there is not a receiver circuit. We propose two following new protocols to solve this problem.
(1)To prevent the frequent occurrence of the collision that occurs between specific terminals by not detecting the carrier, Terminal transmission timing are randomized.
(2)Because Terminals cannot prevent all the packet losses by the collision by Propose 1, Terminals gives a packet data for the past several times. As a result, even if a packet loses, the transmission data are made up for by the later packet.
In this report, we describe protocol that we propose and evaluate the performance by simulation. Furthermore, we really pro-duce a system experimentally and perform the performance evaluation.
