The vibration-based data communication is a new type of near-field data communication method using the propagation of vibration in a data-transmission medium. In the previous work, we introduced a flat coreless vibration motor to generate the vibration on the medium. However, it was difficult to increase the data transmission rate due to the mechanism of the motor. To overcome the difficulty, we newly introduce a forcereactor as a vibration generator instead of the flat coreless vibration motor. Furthermore, one of the advantages of using the forcereactor is that the phase modulation can be applied for generating vibrations, and thus it is possible to increase the data transmission rate. In this paper, the principle of the vibration-based communication with a forcereactor, the demodulation method and the performance improvement will be reported. |
