A physical layer design for IEEE 802.15.4g WPAN

(in English) Smart utility networks (SUN) are being increasingly attracted over the all over the world as well as Japan as a role of a solution for reducing CO2 emission. To realize such networks, IEEE802.15.4g task group 4g (TG4g) is under standardization process and under intensive discussion as of today in order to develop an air interface for SUN operating in 400MHz band and 950MHz band etc. Both frequencies will be assigned for low power systems for SUN in Japan. NICT has thus proposed a physical layer based on GFSK with Fuji Electronic etc in the task group. This report describes a design of the physical layer for the IEEE802.15.4g wireless personal area network (WPAN), and also presents its fundamental transmission performance.
