Zone Routing Protocol with Dynamic Shape Control Procol for ad hoc networks

(in English) A variety of routing protocols for mobile ad-hoc networks have been studied. The ZRP (zone routing protocol ) was proposed as a hybrid routing framework. In ZRP environment each node proactively advertises its link state over a fixed number of hops, called the zone radius. These local advertisements provide each node with an updated its routing zone. The nodes on the boundary of the routing zone play an important role in the reactive zone-based route discovery. The main contribution of this work is to propose a novel hybrid routing protocol Dynamic shape control zone routing protocol (DSC-ZRP) as extension of ZRP. The direction of communication demand of practical traffic is biased in a specific direction in ad hoc networks. DSC-ZRP can adapt to this network environment by changing the shape of the proactive zone dynamically. Computer simulation results show DSC-ZRP having in reducing total control packet volume and end to end delay time in an expressway this mobile ad-hoc network model.
