Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Cognitive radio is considered as the highly promising solution to the shortage problem of the frequency resource. A spectrum detector that can detect signals of a variety of electric field strength at the same time is necessary to observe whether the specified frequency spectrum is occupied by the other system or vacant. A spectrum detector have nonlinear front end because amplifier and A/D converter in front end have nonlinear. When a spectrum detector with nonlinear front end detect variety of electric field strength,it can detect false alarm and miss detection because of intermodulation and gain suppression. But there are not examination of relation between nonlinear front end and false alarm. In this report, we evaluate that spectrum detector with nonlinear front end detect false alarm and miss detection by computer simulation. Consequently, the computer simulation result shows false alarm and miss detection probability and it has effective if spectrum detector have threshold over noise level.
