A preliminary study on Counter-Crossed Beam Contrast Echo method is carried out. This method is a blood flow imaging method by using sum or difference frequency which is generated due to nonlinear vibration of microbubbles in the crossed two breams with different frequencies. This method measures the two dimensional flow velocity by using Doppler shifts of sum or difference frequency where the two orthogonal directions of ultrasonic beams are crossed. We measured the two-dimensional flow velocity of microbubbles in a channel using commercially available ultrasound diagnostic equipment with another ultrasonic probe. As a result, the absolute values of flow velocity measured by the proposed method agreed with the values of actual velocity. |
