Phase Accordance Method proposed by the authors shows a high level of accuracy in localizing static objects.
However, its performance deteriorates in localizing moving objects due to the Doppler effect.
In this paper, a real-time and accurate velocity estimation method using a signal strength ratio of two ultrasonic waves is proposed.
One of the benefits of the proposed method is that it shares almost the same algorithm for accurately estimating positions and velocities of moving objects simultaneously.
Experiments in computer simulations and real-world environments proved the feasibility and performance of the proposed method. |
