We have fabricated a 5.8-in. flexible AMOLED display driven by OTFTs. The OTFT array, which was fabricated on a plastic film with a high- gate insulator and a polymeric separator for patterning of an organic semiconductor layer, exhibited electrical characteristics such as higher field-effect mobility and excellent spatial uniformity. We also optimized emitting materials and a layer structure in phosphorescent OLEDs to obtain higher external quantum efficiency and a low operation voltage. We could confirm clear moving images in the fabricated flexible display. |
