We developed a brand-new SPARC V9 processor,'SPARC64TM VIIIfx' for Fujitsu’s Next Generation super computer. This processor runs at 2.0GHz, fabricated in a 45nm CMOS process. It adopted new architecture HPC-ACE which boost calculation performance, and achieved high performance for HPC application with low power. In addition , it has advanced RAS features inherited from our mainframe processors.
In this paper, we introduced SPARC64 TM VIIIfx and explained new architecture HPC-ACE. |
