Three dimensional regions of tumors and organs at risk have been determined by treatment planners such as radiation oncologists in computed tomography images on a slice-by-slice basis for radiation therapy. However, there is a large variability of contours of the tumors and organs at risk among different treatment planners. Therefore, our goal is to develop an automated retrieval method of similar cases in a RTP database to reduce the variability of their contours. Current purpose of this study was to investigate the similarity measure for selection of similar cases. |
