A Study on High-Speed Tracking in Optical Wireless Train Communication System

(in English) A rising demand of the broadband communication in train needs more faster data communication method than wireless LAN. We has proposed the ground-to-train communication system by
bi-directional optical wireless communication, which has communication speed of a few gigabit per second. One important elemental technology of this system is a fast and accurate tracking
system to spot the transmission laser on opposite receiver. In this paper, we propose the new tracking method and algorithms for our ground-to-train communication system using two Quadrant Detector(QD), wide lens and telephoto lens.
