This research is aimed at evaluation of MRI simulation technique for education of radiological technologists. Our simulation method calculates signal intensity distribution of a target slice for interested imaging conditions with physical properties of the target, such as T1 relaxation time, T2 relaxation time, and proton density. In this report, we propose application of downhill simplex method, a kind of nonlinear optimization techniques, for estimation of T1 relaxation time and proton density in IR sequence, and evaluate simulation accuracy in IR, SE and SPGR sequences. |
