[Poster Presentation] Tomosynthesis Reconstruction using Parallel Incident Beam

(in English) Recently, tomosynthesis which can obtain 3-D information from a restricted number of projections has been paid attention to because of lowered radiation dose particularly in early diagnosis of breast cancer. However, although tomosynthesis is advantageous in exposure dose reduction and less measurement time, it has difficulties that the reconstructed images are blurred with artifacts and then false images appear in the reconstructed images. In the present research, we suppose to use parallel incident beam from synchrotron radiation. We first show that the shift-and-add method is equivalent to the back-projection in the parallel-incidence based geometry. Then, we propose a reconstruction method based on Gerchberg-Papoulis-Sato’s algorithm of a kind of superresolution method. Finally, we compare the conventional shift-and-add method or the FBP (filtered backprojection) method with the proposed method based on superresolution method using simulation data.
