Recently, multimedia applications such as video and audio are popular. Then, various kinds of heterogeneous stream flows occupy the most part of bandwidth of the network. Therefore, Call Admission Control (CAC) is required to maintain QoS (quality of services) that judges whether a flow should be accommodated or not. Well, an optimum CAC is proposed by using semi-Marcov decision process. This method optimizes judgement whether a newly arrived flow is accommodated or not by using a number of accommodating flows of each class. However, this method cannot follow the change of system feature because calculation cost is large. Therefore, in this paper, to reduce calculation cost, we propose the call-blocking curve of each class that judges whether flows should be accommodated or not. To derive the call-blocking curve, we performed qualitative analysis of heterogeneous call admission control. Performance evaluations show that our proposed CAC can realize almost the same total call-blocking rate as optimum CACs. |
