On Target/Multipath wave Detection using Quasi MIMO System

(in English) In recent years, MIMO technology for radar and sensing application has been attracting attention by researchers. In this report, we consider on Direction-of-Arrival/Direction-of-Departure estimation by using quasi-MIMO system in the presence of multipath environment. The quasi-MIMO system in this report means the alternative transmission of each element by RF-switch. In active sensing applications, each reflected wave is coherent, and then target/multipath wave detection becomes difficult. To overcome this difficulty, we apply so-called spatial smoothing preprocessings (SSP and forward/backward-SSP) and analyze the number of waves resolvable by them both monostatic and bistatic arrangements.
