Path Estimation from Sequential Omnidirectional Images

(in English) Recently, Lifelog analyzation has been studied. In it, a set of landscape images taken by a person with cameras is used as one of Lifelog data of the person. The conventional method to extract the person’s movement from images of Lifelog contains drawback; without recognition of landmark features from the image, the movement can not be calculated. We developed an image matching method to detect the relative orientation between viewpoints of two omnidirectional images. We estimated the person’s movement path according to the relative orientation of the images.
