Performance Evaluation on TCP Throughputs over IMT-Advanced Mobile Networks

(in English) IMT-Advanced is gaining much attention as the next generation mobile communication technology.
In this study, we evaluate the basic performance of IMT-Advanced and the impact with various parameters of the time/frequency scheduling on IMT-Advanced, by which not only the time-varying wireless condition but the frequency block-dependant wireless condition of each user are exploited. Specifically, we evaluate TCP throughput for infinite file transfer
via network simulation with the most basic scheduling schemes, that are MaxCIR scheduler, and Proportional Fair
scheduler. These results show the impact on a TCP throughput by the change of the buffer length of radio base
stations and the delay time of a core network.
